Culcheth and Glazebury Footpath No. 148 and Croft No. 13 (Part) – 1st Notice

(FOOTPATH CLOSURE) TEMPORARY ORDER 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a temporary footpath closure on Culcheth and Glazebury footpath no.148 from its junction with the B5212 Holcroft Lane to its junction with Croft footpath no.13 then continuing along Croft footpath no.13 to the western side of a footbridge over a stream at the north eastern corner of the Risley landfill site.

The Order will be effective from Tuesday 12th December 2017 for a period of 6 months. The closure will be in place as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The alternative route will be via Holcroft Lane, Culcheth and Glazebury footpath no.144, Bent Lane, New Hall Lane, Croft footpath no.27, Croft footpath no.13 and vice versa.

The closure is required for safety due to damage to the footbridge and to enable the replacement of the footbridge.
